Joannes Bogisich (János)

Joannes was born in 1738 in Buda and his baptism took place on May 7th, 1738 conducted by Father Bonaventus Stokovich.¹   His godfather was Dominus Martinus Uivarin and his godmother was Francisca Uivarin.  Joannes' father was Josephus Bogisich and his mother was Martha Ivanovicha.  His paternal grandparents were Josephus Bogisich and Catharina. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Michael, Fabianus, Matthias, Joanes, Josephus, Antonius, Franciscus, Petrus, Catharina, Francisca and Maria.  He was the third youngest of the twelve children.
