Mary was born in 1794 in Whitby, Yorkshire, England and her baptism took place on September 20th, 1799 in Whitby, North Yorkshire, England.1   Mary's father was John COULTHIRST and her mother was Elizabeth GLAVES. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Jacob, Thomas, Thomas, Jane, Ann, Dorothy, Elizabeth and Sarah.  She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.  She died due to a childhood disease at the age of 5 on September 20th, 1799 in Whitby, Yorkshire, England.2
