Mary's baptism took place on January 8th, 1738 in North Bradley.1  Mary's father was Anthony Ashton and her mother was Mary Gibbs.  Her paternal grandparents were Moses Ashton and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were John Gibbs and Anne. She had a brother and three sisters, named John, Betty, Sarah and Ann. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Moses, Anthony and Mary.
