Thomas was born on October 9th, 1688.1   Thomas' father was Joseph Goad and his mother was Hannah Atkinson.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Goad and Alice. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, Richard, Robert, Benjamin, John, Isaac, Mary and Hannah.  He was the oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 91 in 1779.1
