Thomas was born in 1773 and his baptism took place on March 18th, 1773 in Doncaster Yorkshire.1  Thomas' father was Thomas Bradford and his mother was Elizabeth Otter.  His maternal grandparents were William Otter and Elizabeth Pigot. He had three brothers and a sister, named Thomas, William, Henry and Elizabeth.  He was the second oldest of the five children.
