Lourens (Loutjie) Johannes Winterbach

Lourens, known as Loutjie, was born on March 26th, 1937 in Maitland.¹ Loutjie's father was Johan (Org) George Winterbach and his mother was Cornelia Maria de Jager. His paternal grandparents were Johannes Abraham Winterbach and Susanna Johanna Conradie. He had a brother and three sisters, named Johan, Rina, Bessie and Marié. He was the second oldest of the five children. He had two half-sisters named Doreen and Sylvia. He died from a stroke at the age of 69 on July 18th, 2006. He was buried in Maitland cemetery.¹
