Dennis was born on January 16th, 1856.  Dennis' father was Dusosway George Dye and his mother was Mary  Ann McKinley.  His paternal grandparents were Dusoway Dye and Elizabeth Petty; his maternal grandmother was Catherine Ott. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Dusoway, William, George, Henry, Priscilla, Mary, Elizabeth, Susan and Harrietta.  He was the fourth youngest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 81 in 1937.



Dennis' first family with Hellena Ott

‌Dennis and Hellena were married on December 5th, 1878.  They had four sons and a daughter, named Elmore, Elbert, William, Wade and Hattie.


Dennis' second family with Mary Duke

‌Dennis and Mary were married on February 16th, 1890.
