Vera Ruby Pearl ALLEN

Vera was born on August 12th, 1900 in Clinton, SA.¹   Vera's father was William Thomas ALLEN and her mother was Alice Jane PAGE.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph ALLEN and Mary Ann HEATH; her maternal grandparents were Alwin John PAGE and Jessie CARRAILL. She had three brothers and five sisters, named William, Clarence, Alfred, Gladys, Ivy, Jessie, Winifred and Dorothy.  She was the oldest of the nine children.
