William, known as Will, was born about February 18th, 1885 in Bridgeport, Mount Pleasant Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, USA.1  Will's father was Charles Marion Minerd and his mother was Sabina Matilda Pierce (Minerd).  His paternal grandparents were Eli Minerd and Mary Ann Baer (Minerd). He had two brothers and four sisters, named Harry, Ralph, Maud, Alice, Eva and Bertha.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  He died  due to Died at home on January 26th, 1948 at 396 West Race Street, Somerset, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, USA.  He was buried in January 1948 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Hill Church, Friedens, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, USA.2 3

Will and Pearl were married in a religious & civil ceremony on December 25th, 1903 in Mount Pleasant, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, USA by Howard S. Wilson.3  They had three sons and seven daughters, named Bertha, Esther, Donald, Ruth, Nellie, Violet, Melvin, Ethel, Paul and Lillian.
