Charles was born on September 16th, 1862 in Bridgeport, Mount Pleasant Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, USA.1  Charles' father was Eli Minerd and his mother was Mary Ann Baer (Minerd).  His paternal grandparents were Jacob Minerd Jr and Catherine Younkin (Minerd); his maternal grandparents were Baer and (Baer). He had two brothers and four sisters, named Isaac, William, Emma, Mattie, Mary and Maggie.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.  He died about November 14th, 1947 in Race Street, Somerset, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, USA.  He was buried at the GreenLick Cemetery, Bullskin township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, USA.1 1

Charles and Sabina were married in a religious & civil ceremony in 1879.2   They had three sons and four daughters, named Will, Harry, Ralph, Maud, Alice, Eva and Bertha.
