Alice was born in 1907 in Atherstone, Warwickshire.1  Alice's father was Charles John ASTON and her mother was Alice Allan LOVE. She had four brothers and two sisters, named William, Charles, Wilfred, Arthur, Vera and Annie.  She was the third youngest of the seven children.
