George W Watkins

George W was born about 1862 in Garrard, Kentucky, United States.¹ George W's father was Mark America Watkins and his mother was Amelia Porter. His paternal grandparents were Luke W Watkins and Nancy Hopkins; his maternal grandparents were William Porter and Mary Polly Cathers. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Henry T, Mark America Jr, Anna Eliza, Narcissa, Susan, Samantha and Permelia. He is the third youngest of the eight children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named William Franklin, John M, Elizabeth Emily, Telitha Eliza Cumi and Hiley Ann.
