Anna Eliza was born about 1850 in Laurel County, Kentucky.1 Anna Eliza's father was Mark America Watkins and her mother was Amelia Porter. Her paternal grandparents were Luke W Watkins and Nancy Hopkins; her maternal grandparents were William Porter and Mary Polly Cathers. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Henry T, Mark America Jr, George W, Narcissa, Susan, Samantha and Permelia. She was the oldest of the eight children. She had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named William Franklin, John M, Elizabeth Emily, Telitha Eliza Cumi and Hiley Ann. She died in 1885 in Berea, Madison County, Kentucky.1 -
