Countess Ermengarde de Tours

Ermengarde was born about 0800 in Alsace, France.¹ Ermengarde's father was Count of Alsace Hugh (le Mefiant) de Bourges III and her mother was Countess of Tours Ava Eticondes. Her paternal grandparents were Count Luitfrid of Upper Alsace II and Countess Hiltrude of Alsace; her maternal grandparents were Comte de Tours Luitfied Enticondes and <Unknown>. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Hugh, Luitfried, Etienne, Renaud, Stephen, Aelis, Bertha, Adelaide and Petronilla. She was the third oldest of the ten children. She had a half-brother named Hugh. She died on March 20th, 0851. Her burial was in Abbaye D'Erstein, Strasbourg, Alsace, France.
