Sarah E. was born in 1843.1 Sarah E.'s father was Anthony PAYTON and her mother was Margaret WALLINGFORD. Her maternal grandparents were Mark WALLINGFORD and Mary WHALEY. She had eight brothers and three sisters, named William, James Franklin, Mark Wallingford, Thomas, George Washington, Laureny Douglas, John L., Harvey H., Julina, Mary Wallingford and Louisa D.. She was the second youngest of the twelve children.-
