Eleni was born in 0906 in Constantinople, Byzantine Empire.1   Eleni's father was Emperor Romanus Lekapenos of Byzantium I and her mother was Theodora of Byzantium.  Her paternal grandparents were Theophylaktos Abstartus and <Unknown>. She had five brothers and a sister, named Throphylanos, Christophoros, Stephanos, Konstantinos, Theophylaktos and Agatha.  She was the sixth oldest of the seven children.

Eleni and Konstantinos were married on April 27th, 0919.2   They had two sons and three daughters, named Kristophoros, Romanus, Agatha, Maria and Theodora.
