Janet Kennedy 
Janet was born in 1543 in Cassilis, Maybole, Ayrshire, Scotland. Janet's father was Gilbert Kennedy and her mother was Margaret Sophia Kennedy. Her paternal grandparents were Gilbert Kennedy and Isabel Campbell; her maternal grandparents were Alexander Kennedy and Mariot Dunbar. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Gilbert, Thomas, Cartherine, Isobella and Jean. She was the second youngest of the six children. She had a half-brother named John. She died at the age of 55 in 1598.General Notes
