George Sidney (Gid) Green 
George Sidney, known as Gid, was born on August 2nd, 1817 in Pendleton Dist, SC. Gid's father was John Green and his mother was Jane Kerr. His maternal grandparents were Captain Samuel Kerr RWS and Mary Calhoun. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Samuel Kerr, Benjamin S, Ezekiel Calhoun, Joscelin B, John Ewing, James H, Elizabeth B, Mary Calhoun, Lucinda and Jane Caroline. He was the youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 36 on November 10th, 1853 in Union Co, AR.General Notes
