Mary was born in 1817 in Grayson Co, KY.  Mary's father was Joseph Sirles and her mother was Martha Roberts.  Her maternal grandparents were Charles Roberts and Frances Langston. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Allen, John, Lucinda, Frances, Eleanor, Martha and Pharaba.  She was the second oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 80 on May 17th, 1897 in Spencer Co, IN.
