Martha was born in 1825 in Grayson Co, KY.  Martha's father was Joseph Sirles and her mother was Martha Roberts.  Her maternal grandparents were Charles Roberts and Frances Langston. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Allen, John, Lucinda, Mary, Frances, Eleanor and Pharaba.  She was the third youngest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 74 on February 4th, 1899.
