Pearly May Kern

Pearly May was born on May 3rd, 1878 in Jefferson Co, IL.¹ Pearly May's father was Gettis Montgomery Berryhill Kern and her mother was Nancy 'Nannie' Lydie Turner. Her maternal grandparents were Monroe L. Turner and Martha Leah Grant. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Clifford D., James Arthur, William, Samuel Jones, Omer D., William Glenn, Nellie L., Carrie, Ivy R., Ruby Furman and Lottie Marie. She was the oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 83 on September 3rd, 1961 in Macedonia, Franklin Co, IL.¹
