Samuel Jones Kern

Samuel Jones was born on April 7th, 1895 in Snowflake, Franklin Co, IL.¹ Samuel Jones' father was Gettis Montgomery Berryhill Kern and his mother was Nancy 'Nannie' Lydie Turner. His maternal grandparents were Monroe L. Turner and Martha Leah Grant. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Clifford D., James Arthur, William, Omer D., William Glenn, Pearly May, Nellie L., Carrie, Ivy R., Ruby Furman and Lottie Marie. He was the fourth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 64 on May 23rd, 1959 in Benton, Franklin Co, IL.¹
