Mattie Cary

Mattie was born in September 1917 in Marmaduke, Greene Co, AR.¹ Mattie's father was William Wiley Cary and her mother was Nancy Meda Trantham. Her paternal grandparents were William W. Cary and Sarah Martha Georgia Ann Johnson. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Chesley E., Connie Whitfield, Lonnie, William Wiley, Beulah Florence and Josie Almeda. She was the youngest of the seven children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William Doss and Lena. She died at the age of 4 in 1921 in Marmaduke, Greene Co, AR.¹
