Ann Black Skeldon 
Ann Black was born in 1877 in Braidwood, Illinois.1 Ann Black's father was Adam Skeldon and her mother was Mary Jane Chalmers. Her paternal grandparents were Adam Skeldon and Anne Black; her maternal grandparents were Benjamin Chalmers and Catherine Gilroy. She had eight brothers and two sisters, named Adam, William, George, David Leonard, John Walter, Benjaman Chalmers, Albert Edward, Even Daniel, Catherine and Eleanor Jane. She was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.1 -
