Andrew Owen 
Andrew was born on April 22nd, 1769 in Hebron, CT.1 Andrew's father was Sylvanus (Silvanus) Owen and his mother was Eunice Roberts. His paternal grandparents were Josiah Owen and Hannah White; his maternal grandparents were John Roberts and Lois Waters. He had a brother and four sisters, named Lumice, Lois, Tryphena, Lodrick and Hannah. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 76 on July 17th, 1845 in Bethel, Windsor County, VT.1 General Notes

SIXTH GENERATION
Andrew Owen [6] (Sylvanus [5], Josiah III [4], Josiah II [3], Josiah I [2], John [1]), son of Sylvanus and Eunice (Roberts) Owen, was born at Hebribm CT, April 22, 1769 and died at Bethel, Windsor County, VT, July 17 1845. As a child he moved with his parents to Windsor County, VT. He is mentioned in Bethel, VT, Town Records. A deed dated April 28, 1788 certifies that Seth Chase sold to Andrew Owen "of Bethel" Lot 14 in Second Range, West of the Branch. (Book I of Town Records of Land Titles, p. 55.) This is probably the farm upon which he lived all his life and which he later passed to his son, David.
It is rather strange that he bought this land before he was twenty-one years of age. One wonders whether he was not buying for his father.
He married January 12, 1797 Sarah (Newman) Walden, a widow, who was born January 1, 1775 and died November 4, 1845. The writer has seen several Family Records based upon Andrew's Family Bible.
