Israel Otis Dewey 
Israel Otis was born on March 9th, 1824 in Berlin, VT.1 Israel Otis' father was Israel Dewey and his mother was Nancy Hovey. His paternal grandparents were William Dewey and Rebecca Carrier; his maternal grandparents were Roger Hovey and Martha Freeman. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Israel, Harry Hovey, Frederick Freeman, John Calvin, Betsey Baldwin, Anna Maria, Martha Louisa, Eunetia Parthenia, Mary Eliza and Nancy Maria. He was the third youngest of the eleven children. He had three half-brothers named Daniel Havens, Alonzo Baldwin and Milton Carrier. He died at the age of 27 on May 12th, 1851 in Boston, MA but buried in Hanover, NH.1 -
