Lydia was born on April 5th, 1778 in East Hampton, CT.1 Lydia's father was Seth Alvord and her mother was Ruth Norcott. Her paternal grandparents were Seth Alvord and Elizabeth Spencer; her maternal grandparents were William Norcott and Betsey Sears. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Ashbel, Seth, Zenas, Ruth and Sarah. She was the oldest of the six children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Otis, Chauncey Hart, Beulah and Elizabeth. She died in Stockbridge, MA.1 -
