Ashbel Alvord 
Ashbel was born on September 1st, 1780 in East Hampton, CT.1 Ashbel's father was Seth Alvord and his mother was Ruth Norcott. His paternal grandparents were Seth Alvord and Elizabeth Spencer; his maternal grandparents were William Norcott and Betsey Sears. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Seth, Zenas, Lydia, Ruth and Sarah. He was the second oldest of the six children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Otis, Chauncey Hart, Beulah and Elizabeth. He died in East Hartford, CT.1 -
