James Henry Thornton 
James Henry was born on April 8th, 1849.1 James Henry's father was Dozier Thornton and his mother was Jane M. Fortson. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Thornton and Sarah R. Upshaw; his maternal grandparents were Jesse Fortson and Mary Ballinger White. He had six brothers named Thomas D., William Marion, John Calvin, Isham Hamilton, Frank Calloway and Joseph Dozier. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 74 on September 23rd, 1923.1 -
