Robert Ross was born on April 7th, 1873 in Portage, Wood County, Ohio. Robert Ross' father was Reuben Perez Hillard and his mother was Mary Ann Dresser. His paternal grandparents were Daniel Hillard and Martha McDonald. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Charles Rowland, Frank Donnelly, Nellie May, Laura Augusta Frederica and Daisy E.. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 69 on October 20th, 1942.-
