John Clarence was born on August 6th, 1909 in Roosevelt, Uintah, Utah. John Clarence's father was Alexander Davis and his mother was Mary Morrill. His maternal grandparents were Laban Morrill and Lydia Davis. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Alonzo Alexander, Bert, Chancey Vordest, George Arnold, Mary Mellissa, Bertha Elmina, Lydia Cassie, Delma and Emily Frances.
