Christiana was born about 1245 in Annandale, Dumfrieshire, Scotland. Christiana's father was Robert "The Competitor" Bruce and her mother was Isabel De Clare. Her paternal grandparents were Robert De Bruce and Isabella Huntingdon; her maternal grandparents were Gilbert De Clare and Isabel Mareschal.
