John Crabtree York 
John Crabtree was born in 1781 in Randolph County, North Carolina. John Crabtree's father was Jeremiah York and his mother was Sarah Allred. His paternal grandparents were Semore York and Sylvania L Aldredge; his maternal grandparents were John Allred and Margaret Cheney. He had seven brothers and seven sisters, named Seymour (Semore), Jabez, Thomas, Darius, Jeremiah Jr., Barnabus, William, Sarah, Ann, Aquilla, Hulda, Dorcas, Jane and Catherine. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Andrew J., Alford D. and Tamer. He died after 1850 in Morgan Co, Indiana.-
