Isaak Laskaris 
Isaak was born about 1180 in Nicaea, Bursa, Turkey. Isaak's father was Manolis Laskaris and his mother was Ioanna Karatzaina (Phokaina). He had six brothers named Manolis, Georgios, Konstantinos IX, Theodore I Lascaris of, Alexios and Michael. He was the second youngest of the seven children.
