John Evans 
John was born on May 7th, 1800 in SC. John's father was Joseph Evans and his mother was Amelia Hawkins. His paternal grandparents were Robert Evans and Sarah Hetty May; his maternal grandfather was Edward Hawkins. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Evan, Robert, Edward, William, Joseph Jr., Margaret Frances, Frances, Sarah Eloise and Amelia Millie. He was the oldest of the ten children.
