Amelia Millie was born on April 27th, 1820 in Perry, AL. Amelia Millie's father was Joseph Evans and her mother was Amelia Hawkins. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Evans and Sarah Hetty May; her maternal grandfather was Edward Hawkins. She had six brothers and three sisters, named John, Evan, Robert, Edward, William, Joseph Jr., Margaret Frances, Frances and Sarah Eloise. She was the second youngest of the ten children. She had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Jefferson C., James Franklin, Willis Granbury, John and Matilda Jane.-
