Robert (The Frison) *Flanders

Robert, known as The Frison, was born in 1035 in Flanders.  The Frison's father is Baldwin (The Pious) *de Flandres V and his mother was Princess of France, Comtess d'Auxerre, Contenance, Flanders, Nevers Adela (Alix) Capet.  His maternal grandparents are Robert Capetian (The Pious) * II and Constance *. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Baldwin, Henry, Matillda(Maud) and Judith.  He was the third oldest of the five children. He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Robert, Henry, Guillaume, Guy, Alix and Elena.  He died at the age of 54 on October 3rd, 1089.

‌The Frison and Gertrude were married in a religious ceremony in 1063.  They had a son and two daughters, named Robert, Adele and Gertrude.
