Countess of Holland Gertrude Saxony

Gertrude was born about 1028 in Schweinfurt,Unterfranken,Bavaria,Germany.  Gertrude's father was Duke Bernard Saxony II and her mother is Elica Schweinfurt.  Her paternal grandparents are Bernard Saxony * and Hildegarde Stade *; her maternal grandfather is Markgraf of Schweinfurt Henry *.  She was an only child.  She died on August 4th, 1113 in Netherlands.

‌Gertrude and Floris were married in a religious ceremony about 1050.  They had three sons and three daughters, named Albrecht, Pieter, Dietrich, Adele, Bertha and Machteld.
