William Winthrop

William was born on November 12th, 1529 in Groton, Suffolk, England.¹   William's father was Adam Winthrop and his mother was Alice Henny (Hunny).  His paternal grandparents are Adam Winthrop and Jane Burton (Burnol). He had three brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Christopher, Thomas and Bridget.  He was the second oldest of the five children. He had three half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Adam, John, Adam, Alice, Bridget, Mary, Catherine and Susanna.  He died at the age of 51 on March 1st, 1581 in London, London, , England.  He was buried on March 12th, 1582 in Cornhill, London, , England.² 

‌William and Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony about 1556 in Of St Michael, , London, England.²
