His paternal grandparents were Richard Danvers and Agnes de Brancestre; his maternal grandparents are John Bruly and Matilda Quartermain. He had seven brothers and eight sisters, named Robert, John, Thomas, William, Henry, Simon, Edward, Joane, Agnes, Amicia, Elizabeth, Alicia, Miss, Margaret and Bova. He was the fourth oldest of the sixteen children. He was buried in Chopredy Church.General Notes
