His paternal grandparents were Hugh Capet and Adelaide (Alice) De Poitou; his maternal grandparents were William D'arles and Adelaide (Blanche) D'anjou. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Hugh, Robert I "The Old", Adela, Constance and Adele Of Auxerre. He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Gerold I, HUGH, HENRY I, ROBERT I 'THE OLD', ADELAIDE (ADELA ALIX) and CONSTANCE. He died at the age of 52 on August 4th, 1060 in Vitry-On-Brie, France. He was buried in St. Denis, France.General Notes
