Anna was born in 1036 in Kiev, Ukraine. Anna's father was Jaroslav I 'The Wise' Grand Duke Of Kiev and her mother was Ingegarde Olafsdottir Princess. Her paternal grandparents were Vladimir I 'The Great' Grand Duke Of Kiev and Rognieda Von Polotzk; her maternal grandfather was Olaf III 'Scot- Konig' King Of Sweden and her maternal grandmother is Astrid Princess Of The Obotrites. She had three brothers and a sister, named Inyaslav, Vsevolod I, Elisabeth and Anastasia. She was the youngest of the five children. She died at the age of 41 in 1077. She was buried in Abbaye Villiers.-
