Maud was born about 1223 in Lincoln,Lincolnshire,England.1   Maud's father was John Lacy Earl of Lincoln & Constable of Chester and her mother was Margaret Quincy Countess of Lincoln.  Her paternal grandparents were Roger de Lacy , Lord Pontefract and Maud (Matilda) De Clare; her maternal grandparents were Robert De Quincy and Hawise Meschines Countess of Lincoln. She had a brother named Edmund. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Robert, William and Joan.  She died before March 10th, 1289.1

‌Maud and Richard De were married in a religious ceremony before January 25th, 1237 in ,Lincolnshire,England.1   They had four sons and five daughters, named Gilbert "the Red Earl", Thomas De, Bevis (Bogo) (Benet) De, Robert (Richard) De, Isabel De, Margaret De, Maud De, Roese (Rohesia) De and Eglentine De.
