Richard De was born on August 4th, 1222 in ,Gloucestershire,England.1   Richard De's father was Gilbert de Clare , Sir, Earl of Gloucester 6th and his mother was Isabel Marshall Countess of Cornwall.  His paternal grandparents were Richard  "Strongbow" 4th Earl De Clare and Amice FitzRobert , Countess of Goucester; his maternal grandparents were William Marshal , Sir, Earl of Pembroke 4th and Isabel FitzGilbert de Clare , Countess Strigoil. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Gilbert De, William, Isabel De and Isabel. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Richard and Joan.  He died at the age of 39 on July 15th, 1262 in Ashenfield Manor,Waltham,Kent,England.  He was buried on July 28th, 1262 in Tewkesbury,Gloucestershire,England.1

‌Richard De and Maud were married in a religious ceremony before January 25th, 1237 in ,Lincolnshire,England.2   They had four sons and five daughters, named Gilbert "the Red Earl", Thomas De, Bevis (Bogo) (Benet) De, Robert (Richard) De, Isabel De, Margaret De, Maud De, Roese (Rohesia) De and Eglentine De.
