Thomas de was born in 1314 in Of, Broughton, Buckinghamshire, England. Thomas de's father was Robert de HOLlAND and his mother was Maud la Zouche. His paternal grandfather was Robert de Holand Knight and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth de Salmesbury; his maternal grandparents were Alan la Zouche Baron Zouche and Eleanor Segrave. He had four brothers and nine sisters, named Robert, Otho, John, Alan, Elizabeth, Margery, Johanna, Elizabeth (Isabel) De, Margaret (Mary), Jane, Alianore De, Isabella and Maud (Matilda) De. He was the fifth oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 46 on December 26th, 1360 in , , Normandy, France. He was buried in Grey Friars Church, Stamford, Lincolnshire, England.-
