Dilla was born about 1812. Dilla's father was Jesse Galloway and her mother is Sallie Williams. Her paternal grandparents are James Galloway and Anney Housely. She had two sisters named Lucretia Jane and Sallie. She is the oldest of the three children. She had four half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named Major Charles, Alexander, Melvin Absolm, Francis Marion, Mariah, Peggie, Elizabeth, Caroline, Mary, infant and Anna.-
