His paternal grandparents are Walter Sir Chevers and Eleanor St. Lawrence; his maternal grandfather is Walter Kelly "Alderman". He had three brothers and two sisters, named John, Patrick, Thomas, Katherine and Katherine. He has a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Ellis, Janet, Margaret, Elenor and Ella.-
