Joshua's father was James WELBORN Sr. and his mother was Isabelle TEAGUE. His paternal grandparents are William WELBORN and Ann CRABTREE; his maternal grandparents were Moses TEAGUE and Elizabeth LOFTIN. He had eleven brothers and two sisters, named Moses, Aaron, William, James, Isaac, Gideon, Samuel, James, Moses, John, Gideon, Elizabeth and Anna. He was the fourth youngest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 86 in 1866 in , Barren, Ky. He was buried in , Barren, Ky.-
