Hiram THORNTON was born on October 30th, 1864 in THORNLEIGH, MO, PETTIS CO. Hiram THORNTON's father was Hiram SWOPE and his mother was ELIZEBETH Greer. His maternal grandparents were Benjamin Greer and Mary Frances Divers. He had five brothers and a sister, named Jesse, James Martin, MALACHI KENER, Benjamin Franklin, John Wesley and Sarah Frances. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 88 on January 15th, 1953 in THORNLEIGH, MO, PETTIS CO. He was buried in MOUNT HERMAN CEM, , PETTIS CO, MO.-
