Richard was born on September 10th, 1676 in Portsmouth, Newport, RI. Richard's father was George SISSON and his mother was Sarah LAWTON. His paternal grandparents were Richard SISSON and Mary Mrs SISSON; his maternal grandparents were Thomas LAWTON and Elizabeth Salisbury. He had four brothers and six sisters, named George, Thomas, John, James, Elizabeth, Mary, Ann, Hope, Ruth and Abigail. He was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 76 in 1752 in , , RI.-
